"And there she was, suspended between dream and wakening"

So here's yet another attempt of trying to find what is it that I enjoy painting, and what I try to capture in my work. It's amazing that I'm able to grasp it for a while, and then forget it for few months or so...

Lovely and delicate. It is very much like your usual, yet very different. I like the touch of pastel along with you swirling lines.
God bless you, Ania,
Steve

I guess we all feel the same at some point :)

I'm in love with the colours you used here, especially the vivid blues. It makes the picture look very sad, and strangely optimistic and uprising at the same time.

hmm I have to say out of the paintings you've done recently, this one called out to me the most, despite its simplicity. I really do like the organic shape and the sense of space. It's as if she's in a womb waiting to be born to her full potential.

I really like the accents of the more detailed crystalline blue flowers as well. Perhaps they are blooming from her creativity or her vision?

Amazing. Just how do you do that? Lovely, beautiful, and fragile.

Well I promised a complete opinion and I'll give one, so help me I will. :shakefist: Plus I haven't been devoting much time to thorough commenting so I might as well start off here.

It's simple (not in a bad way) and I think that's why I like it. It seems kind of lonely, but not sad. Somber would be the best word I think. If this is a continuation of the previous two wind series pictures, I think this one lends itself more towards a feeling of emptiness (perhaps that's why you said you didn't like it?)

As always I love the patterns and shapes you paint. If I had to offer a critique it'd be that the right side seems a bit 'light'...a few more patterns or something else to balance the composition would be an idea. Regardless it's a minor thing and I think it might enhance the emotions I mentioned before. ^_^

I say paint more. :shakefist: Lovely.

This is a lovely painting. The combination of colors are very nice. However, I kinda agree with =OchreJelly that the left side of the painting seems heavier than the right. But aside from that, the painting's beautiful. I'm also loving those swirly branches. ;)

It's nice to see your work, I love your watercolours! I think we all go through creative dry spells like that.

Personally I think this would be improved heaps by cropping the negative space on the right off, and just leaving it a closed composition. Either that or bringing some more of the blue from the left into the right to balance it.

It's looking lovely. I love the figure, especially the way she's posed and her beautiful orange markings.

The movement of the whole and the colors are just awesome. I think it's one of my favourite drawings you did. The girl is delicate and pretty and the way the movement of her hair attracts the look to her is great.
To criticize a little bit, I think her foot is too small.
Very good work anyway =)

um that's exactly what I'm going through, kind of struck me how you captured the moment I'm in with details lol
I love your colouring, they're so smooth and delicate. You're so amazing with water colours, they flow with every emotion you have. Well done :)

Life is not about love stories, wars and glory.
..Life is about you, and who you want to be.

The only dream that will come true is who you are.
